Personal information and marketing communications
If a user registers to benefit from any of the services of the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología, and in order to do so provides personal information, the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología hereby notifies the existence of a computerised file of personal information that belongs to the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología.
Pursuant to the law currently in force regarding data protection and information society and e-commerce services, the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología commits to fulfilling its obligation of keeping personal data confidential and will, to this end, take the necessary measures to avoid modification, loss or unauthorised handling or access, taking into account at all times the state of technology. The user accepts that all personal data submitted when registering or any other information provided during her or her relationship (subscription to forums, news, etc.) with the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología will be included in a computerised file belonging to the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología in order to facilitate the management of the relationship with this organisation and the provision of services related to the activity of the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología, as well as to keep the user informed, either by electronic mail or any other means that the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología deems suitable, of new features, products or services related to the activity of the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología or to third party collaborators. As regards marketing communications via electronic mail or equivalent means, the user gives his or her express consent for advertising to be sent using the foregoing method.
The user will be responsible, notwithstanding, for the veracity of the data submitted and the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología reserves the right to exclude any user who has submitted false data from the services he or she has registered for, notwithstanding any other actions applicable under the Law.
Finally, the user is hereby notified that he or she has the right to access, modify, oppose or cancel these data by submitting an accurate document with a photocopy of his or her ID Card (DNI) to the registered address of the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología or by electronic mail.
