Description
The Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) aims to manage and evaluate regional calls and other specific programmes to support universities and research institutions in Catalonia.
The Agency is an executive tool for implementing policies from the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge of the Catalan Government to contribute to the excellence of research in Catalonia. It provides funding programmes for mobility and the attraction of researchers, pre-doctoral and post-docs into the Catalan RDI on the basis of competitive public calls, as well as, grants and awards for students and postgraduates, the organization of conferences and research projects in some specific fields. A call schedule is published annually on its website: www.gencat.cat /agaur.
It also offers value added services to Catalonia's participation in the European Research Area, the attraction of talent in the Catalan university and research system, training for RDI agents in project management and support on administrative and legal proceedings which affects the mobility of researchers as part of the EURAXESS network.
