Offer Description
1 part-time Research Assistant position at UPF (Barcelona) for working in the project: MUNMIGRA - Local Responses to Precarious Migrants in Spanish Cities (Grant nr. PID2021-129092OA-I00/AEI/10.13039/501100011033) Financed by source: Ministry of Science – Spanish Research Agency.
The research assistant will work under the supervision of Juan Carlos Triviño
Tasks:
- Support in research management
- Support in data collection and analysis
- Support in reporting
- Work cooperatively with the PI, and any other research team members
- Engage in research project public activities

- MA in Political Science, Public Policy or related fields
- Background on qualitative data-collection methods.
- Experience in project management.
- Demonstrable interest on a career in research (e.g., publications, reports, intention to pursue doctoral studies, among others)
- Manage multiple activities simultaneously and be able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken languages skills in English. Skills in Spanish and Catalan are necessary.

Salary/duration/benefits/facilities
Type of contract: Indefinite, in accordance with the terms of article 23 bis of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation.
The candidate will work part-time (12,5 h/week) starting September 1, 2023
Salary: 27.841,78 € gross/year approx. (full-time contract)
Group: 3
The job contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish public health and social security system, as well as additional financial support for the participation in project-relevant conferences if applicable.
Eligibility criteria
Selection criteria:
Only applications from candidates who fulfill 4 requirements mentioned above will be evaluated:
- Disciplinary fit with project: 1-5 points;
- Experience: 1-5 points;
- Relevant additional skills: 1-5 points
The candidate must obtain a minimum of 3.5 points for each of selection criteria.
The selection committee will decide on the need of an interview with the shortlisted candidates
