Required qualifications for candidate 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Master’s degree or more.
• Excellent knowledge of R.
• At least two peer-reviewed publications (as first or second author) in survey methodology related to web surveys/new types of data.

Other skills that will be valued

• Previous experience related with in-the-moment surveys (research regarding such surveys, design of such surveys, etc).
• Further experience in publishing academic papers (beyond the 2 required publications), especially related to the topic to be researched
• Ability to work with limited supervision, work rigorously, and to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with some programming languages (e.g., Python).

Salary/duration/benefits/facilities

The candidate will work part-time (20 hours/week) starting September 15, 2023, with a gross salary aprox: 33.262,88 € (full-time)

Type of contract: Indefinite, in accordance with the terms of article 23 bis of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation.

The expected duration of the tasks is 16 months but it could be extended if both parties agree and there are more tasks to be done.

The labour contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish public health and social security system, as well as additional financial support for the participation in project-relevant conferences and scientific meetings.

The candidate will become a member of the Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology (RESCM).

Selection criteria: (only applications from candidates who fulfill the requirements mentioned above will be evaluated).

• Disciplinary fit with the research line: 1-5 points;
• Relevant skills: 1-5 points
• Evaluation of the peer-reviewed publications: 1-5 points
