The FunNanoMatLab Group at CiQUS will open soon 2 Postdoctoral Researcher positions for material scientists/chemists.

POSTDOC Position 1. Synthesis and characterization of a new class of spin-crossover barocaloric materials exhibiting a large response to pressure and improved technological merits.

Requirements

•    PhD in Chemistry/ Materials Science or related area

•    Experience in coordination synthesis and spin-crossover materials.

•    Previous experience in XRD, Raman, SQUID and DSC techniques. Experience in barocalorics and magnetism.

•    Background in materials science with excellent scientific record will be valued.

•    International postdoctoral experience will be highly considered.

•    Excellent communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English

•    Creativity and team-working ability to work in a dynamic and international environment.

•    Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment is a must.

POSTDOC Position 2. Manufacture and testing of a new class of cost-effective barocaloric solid-sate refrigerants exhibiting a large response to pressure and improved technological merits (resistance to fatigue, reduced thermal hysteresis, enhanced thermal conductivity) for a new concept of thermal batteries.

Requirements

•    PhD in Chemistry/ Materials Science or related area

•    Experience in advanced characterization under different temperature and pressure conditions

•    Previous experience in cutting edge variable temperature and pressure caloric techniques and studies in chemical, thermal and mechanical stability over time.

•    Experience in barocalorics.

•    Background in materials science with excellent scientific record will be valued.

•    International postdoctoral experience will be highly considered.

•    Excellent communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English

•    Creativity and team-working ability to work in a dynamic and international environment.

•    Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment is a must.

Starting Date and Term. Immediate incorporation for a duration of 2 years, with the possibility of extension.
