Applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral position in surface science funded by the ERC Consolidator Grant ELECNANO.
The candidate will join Prof. David Écija (www.ecijalab.com) to work on the design of nanomaterials on surfaces, which will be inspected with state-of-the-art scanning probe microscopies and spectroscopies.
The applicant is expected to design experiments, analyze data, disseminate results, while maintaining and upgrading low-temperature scanning probe microscopy set-ups.
The contract includes all the travel expenses required for the development of the project (meetings, workshops, collaborations, etc.). The successful candidate will have no teaching duties.
The position is expected to initially be for two years, with a possible extension for a third year. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, or a related field by the start date of the position (flexible, but nominally March 1, 2019).
