Fancy a short scientific mission in systems medicine? APPLY HERE!

Open Multiscale Systems Medicine OpenMultiMed COST Action 15120 welcomes applications for Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) and Inclusiveness Target Countries Conference Grants (ITC-CGs)

Open Call

PLEASE NOTE: all STSMs and ITC-CGs must be carried out by April 4th 2020

OpenMultiMed (http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions/ca/CA15120http://openmultimed.net) aims at gathering a critical mass of international researchers involved in multiscale systems medicine.

Systems medicine is an emerging interdisciplinary framework that aims to improve our understanding, prevention and treatment of complex diseases by integrating knowledge and data across multiple levels of biomedical organization.

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are exchange visits (from 5 up to 180 days) aimed at supporting individual mobility, strengthening existing networks and fostering collaboration between researchers.

STSMs will specifically contribute to the scientific objectives of the COST Action OpenMultiMed as described in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)  available at http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions/ca/CA15120

STSM applicants must be engaged in an official research programme as a PhD Student or postdoctoral fellow or can be employed by, or affiliated to, an Institution or legal entity that has within its remit a clear association with performing research.

Conference Grants are aimed at supporting young researchers from participating ITC to attend international science and technology related conferences not specifically organised by the COST Action.

The applicant must make an oral/poster presentation at the conference in question and must be listed in the official event/conference programme. The main subject of the oral/poster presentation/speech at the approved conference must be on the topic of the OpenMultiMed Action and must acknowledge COST.

The following countries are considered ITC: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, North Macedonia, Republic of Serbia and Turkey.
