University of Córdoba Opens Call for ‘Rosalind Franklin’ International Research Plan

The University of Córdoba (UCO) has launched a new call for applications under its International Research Plan ‘Rosalind Franklin’ – Modality 3, aimed at attracting outstanding researchers leading high‑impact European projects.

Who Can Apply?

The call is open to:

  • Researchers who are beneficiaries of ERC (European Research Council) projects, or

  • Researchers who coordinate international research projects within the current EU Framework Programme,

  • And who are able to transfer their project to the University of Córdoba with the support of a UCO host research group.

To qualify, the ERC project must have sufficient remaining funding to hire the Principal Investigator (PI) until the project ends. Once the PI formally transfers to UCO, the University will assume the role of beneficiary entity.

Duration

Each grant will extend until the official end date stated in the project’s ERC Grant Agreement, with a minimum duration of 24 months from the PI’s transfer date. Shorter periods require approval from the International Research Projects Committee.

Financial Support

Each selected researcher will receive up to €30,000 per year, divided as follows:

  • €20,000/year added to the PI’s salary (on top of the ERC Grant Agreement allocation).

  • €10,000/year for the Research Unit hosting the PI at UCO.
