The last steps to prepare for a successful career change are to write a non-academic CV. The academics need to develop a skilful writing technique to compile all significant experience and motivations and convey a message to convince professionals of the outside academic world that they are the most suitable candidate for their offered position.

This workshop prepares participants to understand the basics of this skilful writing. Dr. Elisa Garcia will facilitate your learning.

CONTENT: In this workshop, participants will learn how to:

• Understand the significant differences between academic and non-academic-CV
• Choose and highlight their skills, and characteristics for a specific job position
• Write effectively and a convincing application

This one-session workshop will be offered in two different slots to facilitate attendance. Sessions will not be recorded.

TOOLS: The trainer will use interactive activities, debriefing techniques and facilitate peer support to assure a lasting learning.

REQUIREMENTS: Because of its interactive nature, it is important to attend the course using a computer or electronical device that allows to use a board application (MURAL). The course is participatory, so mic is also needed.
